About 60 casualties and injuries in re-targeting the Eastern Ghouta by air and artillery strikes after bloody days in its cities and towns

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the shelling was renewed in the eastern Ghouta with the beginning of the evening of today, the 10th of February 2018, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the planes re-targeted areas in KafrBatna town, in conjunction with carrying out raid on areas in Saqba city, which caused the death of a citizen and also injured 11 others, while the aerial bombardment on the eastern Ghouta was renewed, where it was targeted by warplanes by 2 raids and injured at least 15 persons, raising to 40 at least, the number of citizens who were injured in the bombardment by warplanes in Douma city, the stronghold of Jaysh al-Islam in the besieged Ghouta, which also rises to at least 57, the number of people who were killed and injuries today in the Eastern Ghouta, they are: a citizen was killed in the aerial bombardment on Saqba, and 40 citizens were injured in the shelling on Douma city, and 3 others were wounded in artillery shelling on Douma city, and 3 citizens including a child were injured in the shelling on Mesraba and Hosh al-Salhiyyeh, and 11 citizens were injured in aerial bombardment on Saqba, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that this decreased pace of killing and shelling as well as the stop of the warplanes’ flight, comes after 5 bloody days, in which the Eastern Ghouta witnessed the highest death toll during 5 days since late 2014, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of 250 persons at least including 104 children and citizen women, on Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday and Monday, and in a descending order of the numbers of civilian casualties in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus according to the number of casualties in cities and towns, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ documented casualties: in Arbin city 61 citizens were killed including 16 children and 8 citizen women, then Douma city with the death of 59 citizens including 14 children and 12 citizen women, in addition to the death of  7 other citizens including 2 citizen woman, they were killed in the artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Douma city, followed by Hamuriya city with 26 citizens including 8 children and 2 citizen women, followed by Beit Sawa town with 21 casualties including 6 children and 2 citizen women, then Jesrin town with 17 casualties including 3 children and 6 citizen women were killed in a massacre in the town, then Hazza town with 15 citizens including 5 children and a citizen woman, followed by Zamalka city with 12 casualties including a child and 3 citizen women, followed by Mesraba town with 11 casualties including 3 children and 4 citizen women, then Kafr Batna with 7 citizens including a child, then Saqba with 7 casualties including 2 children and 2 citizen women, then Madyara with 4 citizens including a child and a citizen woman, and finally Harasta city with 3 citizens including a child, while about 775 citizens were injured with varying severity including tens of children and citizen women.
