New targeting by shells hits several areas in the middle of the capital Damascus

Several explosions were heard in Al-Zahrah neighborhood in Damascus city caused by the fall of several shells on places in the area, while other shells fell on Al-Qassaa area and the vicinity of Ibn Sina Hospital and other places in Al-Abbasiyyin area, while a shell fell on an area in Jarmana District in Rif Dimashq, without information about injuries, and a shell fell yesterday after the midnight on an area in the vicinity of Dahiyat al-Assad controlled by the regime forces near Harasta in the Eastern Ghouta, which caused material damage, without information about injuries, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that a person was killed and others were injured, as a result of targeting Jaramana area in the outskirts of the capital Damascus by several shells, while shells fell on Aish Al-Warawar area in the outskirts of the capital Damascus, preceded by the renewed targeting of the capital by about 15 shells, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of shells on areas in Tahrir Square, al-Omawiyyin Square, the vicinity of Jesr al-Ra’eis, Qassa’a area and al-Abbasiyyin area, which killed 2 persons and injured others.

While it has increased to 92 including 13 children and 12 women, the number of those who were killed as result of the fall of shells and have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since this escalation started on the 16th of November 2017, while it has increased to more than 488 persons who were injured in these daily targeting, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll, in which the shells have targeted since the 16th of November 2017, the areas of Al-Dwel’a, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Al-Mayadeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jermana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Teshereen Military Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens, buildings and shops in the places where these shells had fallen.
