Shelling by a drone target the outskirts of the capital in conjunction with the presence of the UN convoy in Al-Nashabiya area

Sounds of explosion were heard in the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus from areas near the capital, caused by targeting by a drone, which dropped 7 bombs on the area located between Jouber neighborhoods and Zamlka city, in conjunction with the presence of the UN aid convoy in Al-Nashabiya, which is about 10 kilometers away from the shelling area, resulting in the death of a person and injury of others, while consecutive sounds of explosions were heard in Jouber area near the eastern outskirts of the capital Damascus, where Al-Rahman Corps bombed trenches and tunnels in Al-Manasher area in Jouber neighborhood, and there is confirmed information about the death and injury of several members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the regime forces targeted areas in the Eastern Ghouta by a number of missiles, where they targeted areas in Harasta city by more than 12 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, which caused material damage, without information about casualties. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published today that it learned that a humanitarian aid convoy including 7 vehicles entered the besieged Eastern Ghouta, including 2 vehicles with medical aid, while the rest are carrying foodstuff, and the SOHR monitored that the convoy headed to Al-Nashabiyah town in Al-Marj area, controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam, in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and this is the first aid convoy to be entered the area, since late October 2017, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored at that time, the entry of a humanitarian aid convoy to the Eastern Ghouta on the 30th of October 2017, after several months of the entry of the last aid convoy to the area, where the humanitarian situation was worsening with the tight besiege by the Regime Forces and Russian Forces. The convoy included tens of trucks carrying foodstuffs, medicines, logistics and other supplies, and it entered from al-Wafedin camp near the Eastern Ghouta, and this convoy which entered the Eastern Ghouta today, Wednesday the 14th of February 2018, provoked the rage and ridicule of the residents about the entry of 7 vehicles for more than 400 thousand people besieged inside the cities and the towns of the Eastern Ghouta which is out of the regime’s control and besieged by it.
