Warplanes carry out a massacre in Douma city killing 5 citizens most of them are children and women
Rif Dimashq province –n The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: violent explosions rocked the city of Harasta in the Eastern Ghouta, resulted from the fall of at least 6 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces on areas in the city and its vicinity, leaving 4 citizens injured, and it rose to 5, who are two children and 2 women and a man, the number of martyrs, who were killed in a massacre carried out by warplanes targeting the city of Douma today morning, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured people in serious conditions, and several others were injured as a result of targeting Al-Nashabiyah town in Al-Maraj area by 15 shells.
And with the death of more citizens it increases to 29, including 7 children and 4 women, the number of martyrs who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory since the warplanes returned in the afternoon of the 10th of February 2018, to the Eastern Ghouta and the start of shelling by the regime forces on areas in it, after clam lasted for about 24 hours preceded the return of the shelling, while about 107 persons have been injured in the same period, while the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus witnessed a series of successive bombardment and massacres during 5 bloody days which left more than 250 civilian casualties and about 775 wounded including tens of children and women, this decreased pace of killing and shelling as well as the stop of the warplanes’ flight, comes after 5 bloody days, in which the Eastern Ghouta witnessed the highest death toll during 5 days since late 2014.The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored more human losses as a result of this hysterical and savage shelling, which took place before the silent international community which concentrates its efforts against the usage of the chemical weapons and gases, and is blind about the killing with the common weapons, this killing which resulted in tens of massacres in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, since the 14th of November 2017, where the death toll has increased to 760 citizens including 176 children under the age of eighteen, 116 citizen women over the age of eighteen, who were killed in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, since the 14th of November 2017, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 531 citizens including 136 children and 91 citizen women by the raids carried out by the warplanes, while the SOHR documented the death of 229 citizens including 40 children and 25 citizen women due to shelling by artillery, mortar and tanks, as well as shelling by missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the injury of more than 2200 persons including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have amputated limbs and permanent disabilities, while the others are still suffering serious wounds suffering from the lack of the medical staff and the shortage of medicine, as a result of the continuous siege imposed on the eastern Ghouta, and the ongoing shelling rose the number of strikes on the towns and cities of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the regime forces targeted Hasrsta city and Madira town and the vicinity of Vehicle Management by more than 2340 missile and artillery shelling and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground since the 14th of November.
