Crazy shelling of the regime forces and warplanes leave about 400 martyrs and injured in the besieged Eastern Ghouta in less than 24 hours

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: massacres are still ongoing with violent shelling which turned the Eastern Ghouta into death, bloodshed and destruction, through rocket and artillery shelling of warplanes, and the regime forces haven’t had enough with these weapons, so they sent a new weapon, which is the helicopters, to take part along with other weapons, whose users didn’t have enough of the bloodshed of the besieged people of the Eastern Ghouta, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the death toll rose to  44 civilian martyrs, including 4 children and 2 women citizens, while dozens others are injured by aerial, artillery and rocket attacks on the towns and villages of Saqba, Hammuriyah, Jisreen, Kafarbatna, Aftaris, Al-Ash’ari, Otayya, Misraba, Al-Shifonia, Zamlka, Hazzah and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus. The martyrs are 9 civilians including a woman who were killed in a massacre carried out by the warplanes and artillery shelling in Saqba, and 20 citizens were killed in a massacre carried out by the warplanes in Hamouriyyah city, and 6 citizens were killed in a massacre by artillery and aerial sheling on Otaya town, and 4 citizens were killed in airstrikes on areas in Jisrayn town.  A citizen was killed in rocket shelling by the regime forces on Zamlka city, and the death toll is still expected to increase due to the presence of about 250 injured people, including tens of injured in serious conditions, and the SOHR monitored the helicopters of the regime forces carrying out their first airstrikes on areas of Al-Zarikia and Hazrama, by 4 barrel bombs causing material damage.

With the increasing death toll of civilian martyrs, which coincide with ongoing artillery, missile and rocket shelling, the death toll has increased to 62 citizens including 9 children and 5 citizen women, who were killed in the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on several areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus in less than 24 hours, while the death toll is still expected to increase due to the presence of about 325 injured people, some of whom are in serious conditions, amid worsening humanitarian conditions and deteriorating medical and food condition, as a result of tightening the siege instead of breaking the siege and sending missiles and bombs instead of sending aid to the Eastern Ghouta, whose injured and sick people are being transferred to the cemeteries instead of transferring them to receive treatment in the hospitals, which lacks medicines, and also turned the injured into a martyr due to the lack of capabilities to deal with the cases and the absence of specialties and lack of medicine in some cases.   And the today’s shelling and bombardment come as a part of the resumption of the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the warplanes and the regime forces, on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, within a preparation for the start of a military operation by the regime forces led by the Brigadier General Suhail Hassan, aka “The Tiger”, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the calm is coincided with the continuation of the talks about the Eastern Ghouta, in order to reach an agreement between the factions operation in the Eastern Ghouta and supervising it, and the regime’s authorities with a Russian mediation, while the talks are taking place in conjunction with ongoing mobilizations in the vicinity of the besieged Ghouta, by the regime forces and their allies, in order to carry out a wide operation in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, under the command of the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger”, who led the battle during which the organization was expelled from Aleppo, the Syrian desert and the west of the Euphrates, and fought previously against the rebel and Islamic factions, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from a number of reliable sources, that if the talks and negotiations failed to achieve “reconciliation” in the Eastern Ghouta, then, about 8000 Chinese troops will be brought to participate in the military operations in Rif Dimashq, in order to control the Eastern Ghouta, and secure the vicinity of the capital Damascus, where bringing the Chinese soldiers is associated with the failure of negotiations about the Eastern Ghouta, and it is noteworthy that the Russian forces officially took part in the military operations in Syria on the 30th of September 2015, in the regime’s side by air and land, and the Turkish forces officially entered Syria on the 24th of August 2016, while the International Coalition officially entered and participated in the military operations in Syria on the 23rd of September 2014.
