SDF arrest young men in al-Raqqah and take them the “Self-Defense Duty”

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from local sources that the military police of the Syria Democratic Forces have carried out arrests and raids, in Al-Tabaqa area and other places in its countryside and the countryside of Al-Raqqah, in search of Young men to be brought to serve in the “duty of Self-Defense”, where SOHR received information about arresting several young persons who had reached the age of the service, amid resentment sparked by these raids and detentions which targeted displaced citizens from Deir Ezzor Province, also the areas that are under the control of the Syria Democratic Forces are witnessing arrests and raids of this kind every now and then to recruit young men into the “Duty of Self-Defense”.
