Renewed shelling targets several areas in Damascus and its suburbs within the constant shelling escalation
The capital city of Damascus and areas at its outskirts were targeted by more rocket shells, which caused more injuries, casualties and material damage, were the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of shells on places in al-Mujtahid area at the center of Damascus, also about 21 shells landed on Alassad Suburb, while several shells fell on areas in Jaramana, coincided with the fall of shells on the areas of al-Qassa’a and Bab Tuma, and the fall of shells during the day caused the death of a citizen and the injury of tens of others, where the Syrian Observatory published that shells fell on areas in Aleppo Street in Damascus city and on other areas in Jaramana Suburb, which injured at least 4 persons including a citizen woman, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past few hours that shells are still targeting areas in the capital, where new shells targeted areas in the vicinity of Bab Touma area, the vicinity of Esh al-Warwar neighborhood, and King Faysal Street, and no information about human losses. Several mortar shells also fell on areas in Al-Assad district near Harasta city and other areas in Jaramana city in Rif Dimashq, resulting in the death of a citizen from Jaramana city and injury of others. Thus, it has increased to 113 persons at least including 17 children and 14 citizen women, who were killed as a result of the fall of these shells since the beginning of escalation on the capital Damascus and its suburbs on the 16th of November, and the SOHR documented the injury of more than 563 persons who were injured in these daily targeting during 3 consecutive months, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, and the SOHR also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll.
