The ongoing and heavy aerial and ground attack by the regime forces and their allies on the Eastern Ghouta leaves about 2350 casualties and wounded in 5 bloody days

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of the casualties and wounded is increasing with the death of more citizens affected by the injury they had, and extracting more bodies from the rubbles caused by the rocket, artillery and aerial shelling on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where it has increased to 24 including 7 children and 3 citizen women, the number of casualties whose death was documented today by the SOHR in a massacre by aerial and rocket shelling in Douma city, while 5 citizens including 4 women were killed as a result of the bombardment on areas in Hamouriyah city, and the warplanes targeted areas in Saqba city which resulted in the fall of 15 wounded, while the warplanes targeted areas in Mesraba town, injuring 11 persons at least with varying severity, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, and the presence of missing people under the rubbles caused by the rocket, artillery and aerial shelling on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Thus, it has increased to 382 including 94 children and 60 women, the number of martyrs killed by the aerial and ground shelling since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, and the casualties are: 33 casualties at least including 7 children and 7 citizen women who were killed in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Aftries town and Douma city, 77 citizens including 19 children and 11 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 128 citizens including 29 children and 16 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 citizen women were killed on the evening of Sunday, in aerial, missile and artillery bombardments on Saqba, Mesraba, Otaya and Ashari area.

Also the renewed bombardment resulted in increasing the number of wounded to more than 1965 civilians, while there are tens of missing people under the rubbles caused by the rocket, artillery and aerial shelling on the cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta, which may increase the death toll, in addition to the presence of a large number of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the bombardment of the warplanes and helicopters as well as the intensive shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, resulted in getting 10 hospitals and medical points out of service as a result of their targeting in Saqba, Douma, Beit Sawa, Jisrayn, Arbin and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, to decrease the ability of medical capacity even more, and crowd the places with the wounded who flock as a result of intensive and continuous shelling by the regime forces,  led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, which paves the way for a wide military operation in the Eastern Ghouta, through which the regime forces aim to regain the control of it.
