Massacres of the Eastern Ghouta claims the lives of 32 civilians today raising to about 2750 the number of killed and injured civilians in the Eastern Ghouta

 

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces, warplanes and allies continue to bombard and shell the Eastern Ghouta for the sixth consecutive day, which aims to pave the way for a large military operation the regime forces is preparing for led by the Brigadier General Suhail al-Hassan, to be carried out in the besieged Ghouta, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces renew the shelling on the areas in the Eastern Ghouta, in conjunction with air raids and dropping barrel bombs by regime’s helicopters on areas in the cities and towns of Zamalka, Douma, Harasta, Hamuriya, Saqba, Ein Tarma, while more citizens died affected by injuries and others were pulled out from under the rubble caused by today’s shelling in the Eastern Ghouta, raising to 32 including 6 children and a woman, the number of persons who were killed today by the shelling in Douma, Al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Zamalka, Hamuriya, Madyara, Hazrma, Harasta and Ein Tarma.

And with the death of more citizens and extracting the bodies of others, it has increased to 462 citizens including 103 children and 63 women, the number of the civilian casualties who have been killed since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, and the casualties are: 32 citizens were killed today including 6 children and 1 woman, 73 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 85 citizens including 20 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 128 citizens including 29 children and 16 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, in aerial, missile and artillery bombardments on Saqba, Mesraba, Otaya and Ashari area.

And the renewed bombardment by the warplanes and helicopters as well as the intensive ground shelling, resulted in increasing the number of wounded to about 2269 civilians, while there are tens of missing people under the rubble caused by the rocket, artillery and aerial shelling on the cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta, which may increase the death toll, in addition to the presence of a large number of injuries, some of them have serious injuries, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the bombardment of the warplanes and helicopters as well as the intensive shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, resulted in getting 10 hospitals and medical points out of service as a result of their targeting in Saqba, Douma, Beit Sawa, Jesrin, Arbin and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, to decrease the ability of medical capacity even more, and crowd the places with the wounded who flock as a result of heavy and ongoing shelling by the regime forces,  led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, which paves the way for a wide military operation in the Eastern Ghouta, through which the regime forces aim to regain the control of it.
