Despite the continuation of Putin’s humanitarian truce… the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus witness the death of the first child since the truce was put into effect and the injury of 7 others in one of its towns
Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored new shelling by the regime forces and warplanes on areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the regime forces targeted areas in Jisrayn town by 4 shells at least which resulted in the death of a child and the injury of 7 other citizens with varying severity, and this is the first martyr since Putin’s humanitarian truce was put into effect in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the warplanes carried out 2 raids targeting areas in Arbin city, while they targeted areas in Kafr Batna town by a raid, also it has increased to 2, the number of raids which targeted areas in Aftries town in the Eastern Ghouta, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the injury of a citizen in the shelling by the regime forces by a shell on Mesraba town, while helicopters of the regime dropped 2 explosive barrels on areas in Al-Shiffuniyya town, and no information about injuries was reported yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that 3 shells fell on the outskirts of Harasta city, a shell fell on the outskirts of Douma, a shell fell on the area between the both cities, as well as the fall of a shell on Mesraba town.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that a citizen was killed as a result of the shelling which targeted the outskirts of Douma by 4 shells just before putting the truce into effect today, Tuesday the 27th of February 2018, while a citizen woman died due to the collapse of her house cracked and affected by the previous shelling on Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta, and the SOHR monitored the extraction of the bodies of 5 citizens including 2 children and a woman, who were killed in earlier bombardment by warplanes on the area between Mesraba and Beit Sawa yesterday, raising to 568 citizens including 141 children and 85 women, the number of the civilian casualties who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, and the casualties are: a citizen killed in artillery shelling preceded the truce in the outskirts of Douma, and a citizen woman died due to the collapse of her house affected by the previous shelling, 27 citizens including 9 children and 5 women who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta, 14 citizens including 4 children under the age of eighteen and 3 women were killed today, Sunday, in shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma, al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Beit Sawa, Hammuriyyeh and al-Rihan, and 45 citizens including 8 children under the age of eighteen, and 9 women were killed on Saturday by bombardment by warplanes on Harasta, Douma, Zamalka, Beit Sawa and Al-Shifonyyah, 43 citizens including 18 children and 4 women were killed on Friday, 73 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 87 citizens including 21 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 133 citizens including 33 children and 17 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, while the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
