Despite the Security Council resolution, Turkey continue their operation in Afrin and kill more civilians raising to about 700 those who were killed in 39 days of “Olive Branch” Operation

Aleppo province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the Turkish forces shelled places in Afrin area located in the northwest of Aleppo province, where they targeted areas in the village of Yalan Qawz in Jandayras district, in the southwestern countryside of Afrin, killing 2 citizens as result of the Turkish artillery shelling and airstrikes. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored yesterday that the Turkish warplanes carried out several strikes this dawn, targeting Yalan Kuz village, related to Jendires Township in the south-western countryside of Afrin, which resulted in a massacre killing 5 citizens, where the area witnessed yesterday a massacre carried out by shelling of the Turkish warplanes, in which 5 citizens were killed. The clashes are ongoing between the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions against the YPJ and the Self-Defense forces in areas in the western part of Afrin countryside and its northeastern countryside, amid an exchange of shelling, where the Kurdish units managed to advance and there is confirmed information about the restoration of a village near Shara district, and there is information about more human losses in the ranks of both parties.

where it rose to 261, the number of fighters of the YPJ and the Self-Defense forces who were killed in these clashes and artillery and aerial shelling in Afrin countryside, 2 members of the regime forces (the Popular Defense Forces) were also killed, while it has increased to 280, the number of the fighters and soldiers of the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed since the 20th of January 2018, in these clashes including more than 44 soldiers of the Turkish forces. Hundreds of fighters and soldiers and members are injured with different severity, and some of them are suffering permanent disabilities.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the Turkish warplanes carried out several strikes this dawn, targeting Yalan Kuz village, related to Jendires Township in the south-western countryside of Afrin, which resulted in a massacre killing 5 citizens until now including 2 children, thus it has increased to 139 including 27 children and 19 women, the number of people who were killed in the Turkish aerial, rocket and artillery shelling, and executions carried out against citizens in Afrin area, since the 20th of January 2018, while hundreds others were injured with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities.

The violent clashes resulted in the fall of more human losses, as a result of exchange of targeting which resulted in destroying vehicles and machines, resulted in the fall of human losses, as a result of these targeting and the exchange of shelling in the clash areas between the Kurdish forces against the Turkish forces and the factions, where it has increased to 255, the number of fighters of the YPG and the Self-Defense forces who were killed in the shelling and clashes in Afrin countryside, while it rose to 275 including 44 soldiers of the Turkish forces, the number of the members and fighters of the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed in the clashes against the Kurdish Units in Afrin city, also hundreds of citizens, fighters and soldiers were injured with different severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while this advancement expanded the Turkish forces’ scope of control to 75 villages and only one town (Bulbula), with a percentage of about 22% of the total villages of Afrin, and the Turkish forces managed to reach the outskirts of the strategic towns of Jendires and Raju, and only few hundreds of meters remain for them to reach Jendires town.
