International Coalition warplanes commit a new massacre east of Deir Ezzor and kill 22 people, mostly women and children

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the International Coalition warplanes carrying out a new massacre in which tens of people were killed and injured in al-Shafa town, which is located in the remaining enclave of the “Islamic State” organization on the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where there are still 4 towns and villages controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory has documented the death of 22 persons including 9 children and 7 women as a result of the massacre that took place today, Wednesday, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to information about other casualties, in the same context, the clashes continue in the vicinity of al-Shafa between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against the “Islamic State” organization, accompanied by exchange of shelling and targeting between both parties.

Raising to 129 including 83 women and children, the number of people killed by warplanes of the International Coalition and documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, since the 1st of February 2018 and until the 28th of February 2018, and most of them are of the families, members and commanders of the organization in Al-Bahra village and Hajin town, including 16 Syrian persons, and these airstrikes also resulted in the injury of tens of persons with varying severity since early February, as well as causing material damage in the places which were bombed.
