The regime forces target areas in Douma and Harasta by a number of missiles and shells during the validity of Putin’s “humanitarian” truce

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored rocket shelling by the regime forces targeting the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, during the validity of Putin’s “humanitarian” truce, where the shelling targeted areas in the outskirts of Douma city and the outskirts of Harasta city as well as the farms between them by more than 12 missiles and shells, and no information was reported yet about causing casualties, while the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam, in areas in the south-eastern section of the Eastern Ghouta, within the attempts by the regime forces to achieve advancement in the area at the expense of Jaysh Al-Islam, after they managed today and during the past few days, to advance and take the control of the areas of Hosh Zriqiyyeh and Al-Dawahira Basin as well as other positions and points in this area.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that it has increased to 47 at least including a local commander in the “Tiger’s” forces, the number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory until now during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta, since the 25th of February 2018, until today the first of March 2018, while 19 fighters at least of Jaysh Al-Islam were killed in the same fighting, and the clashes resulted in the fall of wounded and captives in the ranks of the regime forces as well as the injury of fighters in the ranks of Jaysh Al-Islam in the same clashes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented the death of 617 citizens including 149 children and 90 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, among them there are 80 casualties including 21 children and 14 women were killed after the resolution of the UN Security Council, and the casualties are: 15 citizens including, a man and a child, a man and his wife and another woman citizens who were killed on Thursday in aerial shelling on Al-Marj area, Kafr Batna and Hamuriya, 9 citizens including a child and a member of the Civil Defense were killed in bombardment by warplanes on Beit Sawa, Harasta, Otaya and Douma outside the time of the truce, 7 citizens including 2 children and a woman who were killed yesterday Tuesday, in aerial and artillery shelling on Mesraba, Jesrin and Douma; and they are the people who were killed during the first 2 days of Putin’s “truce”, 34 citizens including 11 children and 7 women who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta and the area between Mesraba and Beit Sawa, 18 citizens including 5 children under the age of eighteen and 4 women were killed Sunday, in shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma, al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Beit Sawa, Hammuriyyeh and al-Rihan, and 53 citizens including 8 children and 9 women were killed on Saturday by bombardment by warplanes on Harasta, Douma, Zamalka, Beit Sawa and Al-Shifonyyah, 43 citizens including 18 children and 4 women were killed on Friday, 74 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 87 citizens including 21 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 133 citizens including 33 children and 17 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, while the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
