A week of violent clashes in the besieged Ghouta claims the lives of 60 members at least of the regime forces and their allies led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan

More civilian casualties in the besieged Ghouta raise their number to 642 at least including about 250 children and citizen woman

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the combat operations in the eastern and the south-eastern fronts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam, where the regime forces are seeking to achieve further advancement in the area, after they took the control of Hosh Zriqiyyeh, Hosh Al-Dawahira and the battalion in the south of al-Shifonyyah, within the ongoing operation by the regime forces led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, during which the regime forces are seeking to impose their control over the entire Eastern Ghouta, through controlling areas sequentially to decrease the controlled area of the factions in the Eastern Ghouta, and tighten their grip on them, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange of shelling between the both parties, which left more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where it has increased to 60 at least including several officers and a local commander in the “Tiger’s” forces, the number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory until now during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta, since the 25th of February 2018, until today the first of March 2018, while it has increased to 34 fighters at least of Jaysh Al-Islam were killed in the same fighting, and the clashes resulted in the fall of wounded and captives in the ranks of the regime forces as well as the injury of fighters in the ranks of Jaysh Al-Islam in the same clashes.

In the same context, the number of the civilian casualties in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus is increasing continuously, as a result of the morning renewed shelling which targeted the Eastern Ghouta, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented today morning the 3rd of March 2018, the death of 6 citizens including a child girl in bombardment targeted areas in Muhammedia town and in Beit Sawa town, raising to 642 citizens including 152 children and 93 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, among them there are 110 casualties including 25 children and 17 women were killed after the resolution of the UN Security Council, and the casualties are: 6 citizens including a child girl were killed in bombardment targeted areas in Muhammedia town and in Beit Sawa town, 19 including  2 children and 3 women were killed today, Friday, outside the time of the truce in Hamouriyah, Douma, Beit Sawa, Mesraba and Hazrama, 15 citizens including, a man and a child, a man and his wife and another woman citizens who were killed yesterday, Thursday, in aerial shelling on Al-Marj area, Kafr Batna and Hamuriya, 9 citizens including a child and a member of the Civil Defense were killed in bombardment by warplanes on Beit Sawa, Harasta, Otaya and Douma outside the time of the truce, 7 citizens including 2 children and a woman who were killed yesterday Tuesday, in aerial and artillery shelling on Mesraba, Jesrin and Douma; and they are the people who were killed during the first 2 days of Putin’s “truce”, 34 citizens including 11 children and 7 women who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta and the area between Mesraba and Beit Sawa, 18 citizens including 5 children under the age of eighteen and 4 women were killed Sunday, in shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma, al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Beit Sawa, Hamouriyah and al-Rihan, and 53 citizens including 8 children and 9 women were killed on Saturday by bombardment by warplanes on Harasta, Douma, Zamalka, Beit Sawa and Al-Shifonyyah, 43 citizens including 18 children and 4 women were killed on Friday, 74 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 87 citizens including 21 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 133 citizens including 33 children and 17 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamouriyah, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamouriyah, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, while the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
