The regime forces advance with the support of its allies and carry out the first siege inside the besieged Ghouta after the death of about 65 of its members in a week of fight
Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for human rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of clashes at a violent pace; between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against fighters of Jaysh al-Islam, in areas in the eastern and southeastern fronts of the besieged Ghouta, which is witnessing a violent attack by the regime forces since the 25th of February 2018, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces achieving an important advancement by completely controlling al-Shifonyyah town; and advancing and controlling Otaya town, carrying out the first steps of the siege of the besieged, through turning around the towns of Hazrma, al-Nashabiyah, and in case the regime forces were able to advance, they will be completely besieged, where the regime forces led by Sohail Hasan are following the tactic of besieging the areas and forcing the fighters to choose between two basic options; either to completely withdraw from the areas which will be surrounded or to fight until the end, also the regime forces were able to monitor by firearm vast areas of the circle that they almost besiege completely, after controlling Hosh of Al-Dawahra and Hosh al-Zriqah, and other areas south of al-Shifonyyah during the past 48 hours, and the continuous clashes have caused more casualties, where it has increased to 64 at least including several officers and a local commander in the “Tiger’s” forces, the number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory until now during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta, since the 25th of February 2018 until today, while it has increased to 43 fighters at least, the number of fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam who were killed and documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta.
In the same context, warplanes carried out more raids on areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where the air, artillery and missile strikes have been targeting areas in Douma city, its farms and the area between them, and confirmed information about casualties and injuries, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented today morning the 3rd of March 2018, the death of 6 citizens including a child girl in bombardment targeted areas in Muhammedia town and in Beit Sawa town, raising to 642 citizens including 152 children and 93 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, among them there are 110 casualties including 25 children and 17 women were killed after the resolution of the UN Security Council, and the casualties are: 6 citizens including a child girl were killed in bombardment targeted areas in Muhammedia town and in Beit Sawa town, 19 including 2 children and 3 women were killed today, Friday, outside the time of the truce in Hamouriyah, Douma, Beit Sawa, Mesraba and Hazrama, 15 citizens including, a man and a child, a man and his wife and another woman citizens who were killed yesterday, Thursday, in aerial shelling on Al-Marj area, Kafr Batna and Hamuriya, 9 citizens including a child and a member of the Civil Defense were killed in bombardment by warplanes on Beit Sawa, Harasta, Otaya and Douma outside the time of the truce, 7 citizens including 2 children and a woman who were killed yesterday Tuesday, in aerial and artillery shelling on Mesraba, Jesrin and Douma; and they are the people who were killed during the first 2 days of Putin’s “truce”, 34 citizens including 11 children and 7 women who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta and the area between Mesraba and Beit Sawa, 18 citizens including 5 children under the age of eighteen and 4 women were killed Sunday, in shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma, al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Beit Sawa, Hamouriyah and al-Rihan, and 53 citizens including 8 children and 9 women were killed on Saturday by bombardment by warplanes on Harasta, Douma, Zamalka, Beit Sawa and Al-Shifonyyah, 43 citizens including 18 children and 4 women were killed on Friday, 74 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 87 citizens including 21 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 133 citizens including 33 children and 17 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamouriyah, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamouriyah, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, while the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
