Tension in a village west of Deir Ezzor after a clash between members of SDF and people in a wedding parade and arrests of young villagers

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the western countryside of Deir Ezzor is witnessing a tension between the Syria Democratic Forces against residents of al-Ji’aa village, following clashes between both parties caused casualties, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a brawl took place between a patrol of the Syria Democratic Forces and people who were in a wedding procession, where altercation turned into a brawl and then a shooting on the wedding procession, which wounded several people, and confirmed information about the death of a woman as a result of her gunshot injury, the locals have confirmed that citizens within the wedding procession had exchanged fire with the patrol the Syria Democratic Forces, and information about the death and injury of some members of the patrol, after that, Syria Democratic Forces raided the village and confirmed information about the arrest of men and young men from the village.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of February 2018 that tension prevails Gharanij area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, against the backdrop of a brawl between people of the town and a patrol of the Syria Democratic Forces, which was transformed into a shooting that killed 3 citizens and injured others, and in the details confirmed by local sources for the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a brawl took place between people of Gharanij town and a patrol of Syria Democratic Forces who took control of the town a few days ago, on the backdrop of a house raid in the town after the return of its owners from the areas they displaced to, and the house was searched for weapons, where man altercation and a brawl took place between group of the people and members of the patrol, which left the area and shot at a gathering of the people which killed a man, a woman and a child, and 3 others were injured, which provoked resentment among the people who protested demanding that the perpetrators of the killing to be held accountable.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 7th of February 2018 that tension is still prevailing Al-Shahil town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, as a result of a fight that took place during the past 24 hours, which resulted in the fall of human losses between groups of the Syria Democratic Forces against the people of the town, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory; the quarrel took place between members of a patrol of the SDF against the owner of a shop in Al-Shahil town, where the residents intervened and settled the fight, but one of the members of the patrol, opened fire of his medium machinegun, killing an elderly man and injuring 3 other children with varying severity, which raged a state of anger and resentment, and as a result, tens of the residents of Al-Shahil town in the east of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, attacked a checkpoint and headquarters of the SDF in the town and seized vehicles of them, demanding to deliver the murderer, to be followed by bringing military and security reinforcements by the SDF to the town.

The reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that dignitaries and notables in the area gave the SDF a limit of 48 hours to reveal the identity of the murderer of the elderly man and hand him over to the judiciary to be punished, and the SDF have to take the responsibility for the robberies and looting taking place in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, by people pretend to be members of the SDF and rob houses, and the clans warned that they will be armed to protect themselves against the thieves and the gangs  that have raided them pretending that they are of the SDF, and the sources confirmed to the SOHR that the SDF showed their response, and issued a circular forbidding night raids and dealing with each group carrying out overnight raids in the manner of the Syria Democratic Forces, as a band of thieves, and this movement came after raids and robberies carried out by people pretended to be members of patrols of the SDF.
