The regime forces bring more military reinforcements to the fronts of the Eastern Ghouta and the bombardment on the towns of Ghouta renews

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes resumed to fly over the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus today morning, in conjunction with carrying several raids on areas in the towns of Kafr Batna, Ein Tarma, Hazza, Jisrayn and Saqba, which resulted in the fall of wounded, while areas in Harasta city witnessed intensive shelling by tens of rocket and artillery shells, which caused further material damage, without information about casualties so far, the regime forces also shelled areas in Harasta city this morning, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces have brought more military reinforcements to the fronts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and in the details obtained by the SOHR; 700 members at least of the militiamen loyal to the regime, have arrived in the fronts of the Eastern Ghouta, where the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them are fighting in 2 main fronts, one of which includes the fronts of the area between the cities of Harasta and Douma, and the other includes the fronts of the farms of Mesraba, Al-Ash’ari, Beit Sawa and Al-Rihan.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that it monitored renewed aerial bombardments during the evening hours, targeted several areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where the shelling by barrel bombs which were dropped by helicopter and warplanes in conjunction with the missile and artillery shelling on areas in Mesraba town, of which the regime forces are trying to control in order to reach the Vehicle Department, and imposing firearm-control on Madyara, also the aerial bombardment targeted areas on the contact lines between the regime forces and the factions in the Eastern Ghouta, while the clashes continue between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; against fighters of Rahman Corps and Jaysh al-Islam in the center and south of the Eastern Ghouta, with the continuation of regime forces’ operations to achieve advancement in the area and control more areas, after the regime forces have taken control of about 40% of the factions’ controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta since the 25th of February 2018, by controlling all of Hosh of Al-Dawahra, Hosh al-Zriqiyyeh, Tal Farzat, al-Nashabiyah, Hazrma, Muhammadiyah, Hosh Qubaybat, and the farms of Al-Rihan, Beit Sawa, Ashari and Mesraba, and getting closer to Douma city and the Vehicle Department, where the regime forces are aiming at the same time to split the Eastern Ghouta into 2 sections, one of them contains Douma, Harasta and al-Rihan farms, and the other on contains cities and towns under the control of Rahman Corps. The Syrian Observatory also published yesterday that it rose to 24 at least including 5 children and 2 women, the number of people whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory of who were killed by aerial bombardment on Harasta, Jesrin, Ein Tarma and Arbin and in shelling on Beit Sawa town, while the Syrian Observatory had the death of 6 citizens including a child, they died affected by their injuries and their bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble caused by the aerial bombardment in KafrBatna yesterday, raising to 805, the number of Syrian civilians who were killed in the Eastern Ghouta, including 178 children and 108 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, and the shelling during this period which completed 2 weeks since it started, resulted in the injury of about 4000 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 273 casualties including 41 children and 32 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, amid the tragic humanitarian situation of the people of Ghouta, who intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they do not leave the shelters for fear of the intensive shelling, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases.
