The regime forces shell ISIS’ controlled areas in the capital Damascus with the continuation of the clashes in areas in the south of it
Damascus Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces shelled this morning, positions controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Camp in the south of the capital by shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, also the clashes continued until after the midnight of Monday – Tuesday, in areas in the south of the capital, between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that 2 people -including a child- were killed in the fall of shells launched by the “Islamic State” organization on Zahra area near Yarmouk Camp, while areas in Yarmouk Camp and Al-Hajar al-Aswad area witnessed a renewed artillery and missile shelling by the regime forces, after the aerial bombardment on areas in the Camp which is controlled by the “Islamic State” organization mostly in the southern part of the capital, and this shelling coincides with transfer operations of hundreds of fighters and their families from al-Kadam neighbourhood, which was witnessing settlement in the previous months and years, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the process is being carried out by requiring that the media not to be involved in the process of transferring the fighters and their families from the neighbourhood which is located south of the capital Damascus to the Syrian north, where several buses carrying fighters and residents of al-Kadam neighbourhood have departed with fighters and residents of the neighborhood the who wanted to get out of it and refused the agreement and the families of the fighters, and the night batches will also depart and go to the Syrian north in the same way the previous displacements took place in the suburbs of the capital Damascus and its western Ghouta.
And the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the capital Damascus, is witnessing violent explosions caused by military operations in the southern part of it, after an attack by the “Islamic State” organization in al-Hajar al-Aswad neighbourhood and the outskirts of Yarmouk Camp, and on al-Kadam neighbourhood which has been witnessing since this morning preparations to transfer tens of the fighters of the factions operating in al-Kadam area south of Damascus; along with their families and those who wish to get out with them to the Syrian north, where they were supposed to be transferred within the next hours on buses that had arrived since morning to the outskirts of al-Kadam area, to head the their destination once the preparations and boarding on buses are completed, and the attack of the “Islamic State” organization was accompanied by raids by warplanes on al-Hajar al-Aswad area, amid violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who are present at the outskirts al-Hajar al-Aswad area; against members of the “Islamic State” organization, after which members of the organization advanced as a result of their surprise attack on the area, and the clash is accompanied by exchange of targeting on the clash areas between both parties, these violent clashes were accompanied by the fall of shells on places in al-Zahra area and other areas controlled by the regime in the vicinity of Yarmouk Camp, amid violent artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces on areas controlled by the Organization, which caused the displacement of tens of families fearing the intense shelling on the area, and information about casualties in the shelling and clashes between both parties, where Yarmouk Camp witnessed weeks ago violent clashes between the “Islamic State” organization against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, during which the organization was able to advance, and tens of fighters of both parties were killed and wounded.
