The regime forces target areas in Daraa city and artillery shelling targets areas in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces shelled areas yesterday after the midnight, in Barnan and Al-Shara in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, without information about injuries.

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces renewed their rocket shelling after the midnight of Monday – Tuesday, targeting areas in Daraa city, without information about injuries, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored a round of renewed aerial bombardment on Daraa Province, after a morning round of raids that targeted the eastern countryside of Daraa, after an absence of more than 8 months for warplanes in Syrian  south’s airspace and Daraa Province, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the warplanes carrying out 8 raids targeting Bosr al-Harir, Western Al-Gharya and al-Hrak, which caused more destruction to the property of citizens, but no information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that explosions rocked areas in both eastern and north-eastern countryside of Daraa city, caused by the first violation of such kind to the American – Russian – Jordanian agreement, applied in the provinces of Daraa, Al-Quneitra and Al-Suwaidaa, since the 9th of July 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes targeted the towns of Al-Harak, Al-Sorah, the Western Al-Gharya, Busra al-Harir and Maskiyah village in Al-Lajat area, which resulted in the injury of citizens in Al-Harak town, and the airstrikes also caused material damage to the property of the citizens, and the last raid by warplanes that targeted Al-Lajat area, was on the 7th of July 2017, which resulted at that time, in the fall of casualties and wounded.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 9th of July 2017, that the regional-international agreement went into effect in three provinces of southern Syria, namely Daraa, Al-Quneitra and Al-Suwaidaa, at 12 pm today, the 9th of July 2017. The SOHR has observed so far that calm is prevailing the provinces of southern Syria and no violations of the truce have been reported so far although the few moments that preceded its implementation witnessed the firing of several shells by the regime forces on faction-controlled areas in Daraa but no casualties have been reported so far.

This American-Russian-Jordanian agreement that includes three provinces of southern Syria came after violent battles during the last few weeks between the factions that operate there and the regime forces and their allied militiamen. where in al-Suwaidaa province there are Jaysh al-Asha’er, Ahmad al-Abdu Forces and Jaysh Usud al-Sharqiyyah, while the southern factions which supported by regional and international parties in Daraa Province, while in Al-Quneitra Province there are Jabhat Thowwar Syria, al-Ezz Brigades and Al-Furqan Brigades, while in Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa is controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid who swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization.
