The warplanes receive the people heading out of the Eastern Ghouta with a massacre resulted in the death and injury of tens of citizens

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian and Russian warplanes are continuing their targeting to areas in the Eastern Ghouta leaving more casualties and destructions, were the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out about 20 raids from after the midnight of Friday – Saturday, until this dawn, on areas in Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta, in addition to shelling by the regime forces on areas in the city, in conjunction with rocket shelling by the regime forces on Douma city and Ein Tarma town, which caused material damage and resulted in break out of fires in the areas that were shelled, without information about casualties, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the warplanes targeted today morning areas in Zamalka city and Kafr Batna town, which resulted in the death of 30 persons at least from Zamalka city, and the injury of tens others with varying severity, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the warplanes targeted the citizens while they were heading to Hazza town to get out through Hamouriyah passage, which about 10 thousand citizens including hundreds of children and women have displaced through from this morning until now, raising to 40 thousand, the number of people displaced since Thursday from the pocket controlled by Al-Rahman Corps in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, to the regime’s controlled areas through Hamouriyah crossing.

In the same context, the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the Islamic factions, in areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed to advance from Jisrayn town to the outskirts of Kafr Batna town, in the far south of the factions’ controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta, amid artillery and rocket shelling which targeted areas in Kafr Batna town, without information about casualties.

And with the death of more citizens, it has increased to 1394, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 271 children and 173 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5190 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 862 casualties including 130 children and 90 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, amid the tragic humanitarian situation of the people of Ghouta, who intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they do not leave the shelters for fear of the intensive shelling, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases.
