More casualties fall in the renewed targeting in the capital, its surroundings and suburbs
Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for human Rights: the number of casualties in the capital Damascus has increased, as a result of the renewed targeting for its areas and other places at its outskirts and suburbs by rocket shells, where 2 people at least were killed today in the capital, Damascus, and more than 27 others were injured with varying severity, rising to 142 persons at least including 21 children and 19 citizen women, who were killed as a result of the fall of these shells, and the SOHR documented the injury of more than 768 persons who were injured in these daily targeting during 4 consecutive months, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, and the SOHR also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that this successive targeting to the capital since today morning, is coincided with completing the targeting to the capital Damascus and its districts controlled by the regime forces an gunmen loyal to them, its 4th consecutive month, since it was started on the 16th of November 2017, this ongoing escalation which takes place daily on the regime’s controlled areas inside the capital Damascus, its outskirts and the districts controlled by the regime forces, resulted in the death and the injury of hundreds of people.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the targeting which was carried out on the outskirts of Al-Wafideen Camp, areas of Al-Dawila, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jarmana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Military Teshereen Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens in the places where these shells had fallen.
