The warplanes escalate their strikes targeting Douma city in the wake of massacres and continuous killing raised the death toll to more than 1450 civilian casualties

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes carried out more than 15 raids from after the midnight of Monday – Tuesday and until now, during which they targeted areas in Douma city, controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam in the northern sector of the Eastern Ghouta, and the warplanes targeted this morning, areas in Ein Tarma town in the south-western sector of the Eastern Ghouta by several raids, Ein Tarma also subjected yesterday after the midnight, to intensive rocket shelling by the regime forces. In the same context, the clashes continued between the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, on areas in the vicinity of Douma city from the side of Mesraba, accompanied by exchange of targeting and shelling between the both parties, and information about more human losses.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that warplanes continue to target the Eastern Ghouta, where warplanes believed to Russian targeted a shelter under a school in Arbin city in the Eastern Ghouta, the missile shelling which caused a massive destruction and a massacre of 17 citizens, they are: 15 children and 2 women in addition to the injury of about 52 others, while it rose to 4, the number of people killed as a result of bombardment by warplanes on Harasta city, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and because of the presence of missing persons under the ruble of destruction whose fate is not known yet, and with the death of more civilians it rose to 1455, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 297 children and 183 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5330 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 922 casualties including 156 children and 100 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
