9 casualties at least in aerial bombardment on Harasta city just before the start of agreement raise the death toll of 1523 civilians in 31 days of escalation

Rif Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of civilian casualties in Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta has increased, just hours before the implementation of the agreement with the Islamic movement of Ahrar al-Sham, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the rise of number of civilians casualties in Harasta city to 9 casualties including 2 children, as a result of shelling by warplanes before the noon of today on Harasta city which is controlled by the movement, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a renewed aerial bombardment on areas in the southwestern enclave in the Eastern Ghouta, where the warplanes and helicopters targeted areas in Zamalka, Hazza and Ein Tarma, in conjunction with clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against fighters of the Islamic faction, in areas in the vicinity of Wadi Ein Tarma area and in the vicinity of Arbin city, and in the vicinity of Hazza, in an attempt by the regime forces to advance and control more places in the area and clamp down on Rahman Corps and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, in conjunction with the preparations for carrying out Harasta agreement within the next few hours, which requires the exit of those who refuse the agreement from the fighter of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and civilians to the Syrian north, while a cease-fire will take place at noon tomorrow if carrying out the agreement went well.

Thus, it rose to 1523, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 312 children and 191 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5370 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 991 casualties including 171 children and 108 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
