Tens of families leave Harasta city towards the regime’s controlled areas in conjunction with aerial and ground shelling left casualties and wounded in Douma and areas in the south-west of Ghouta

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that hundreds of citizens have displaced since morning, from Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, controlled by Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement, where the number of families that have displaced towards the regime’s controlled areas in the vicinity of the capital Damascus reached 140 families, where a passage between the both parties has been opened, and the displacement from Harasta is coincided with airstrikes targeting the enclave controlled by Al-Rahman Corps in the south-west of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where 2 citizens where killed during the bombardment by warplanes on areas in Ein Tarma town, while the warplanes targeted areas in Zamalka city, and helicopters bombed areas in Arbin city by explosive barrels, also the regime forces targeted areas in Douma city controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam, which killed a citizen and injured about 15 others with varying severity, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that preparations are taking place for carrying out Harasta agreement within the next few hours, which requires the exit of those who refuse the agreement of the fighter of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and civilians to the Syrian north, while a cease-fire will take place at noon tomorrow if carrying out the agreement went well.

It is noteworthy that the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus witnessed the displacement of tens of families from Jaysh Al-Islam’s controlled areas during the past few days, within the agreement of evacuating the medical cases to receive treatment, and tens of families displaced few days ago from Harasta city, in addition to the displacement of more than 70 thousand citizens from Al-Rahman Corps’ controlled areas in the south-western enclave of the Eastern Ghouta, towards the regime’s controlled areas in Ghouta, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented that the number of civilian casualties rose to 1523 Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 312 children and 191 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5370 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 991 casualties including 171 children and 108 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
