Ongoing negotiations with Jaysh Al-Islam and an anticipation of the largest deal between Jaysh Al-Islam and the regime to release thousands of abducted and captured people and evacuate thousands of medical cases

The SOHR learned that the negotiations are still ongoing between Jaysh Al-Islam and the Russian side to reach a final agreement on completely ending the military operation in Douma, and reliable sources stressed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the ongoing negotiations chose the Eastern Qalamoun as an option  for the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam to move to with their families and civilians refusing such an agreement, and the negotiations coincide with an anticipation of releasing thousands of abducted and captured people existing in the prisons of Jaysh Al-Islam in Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, in exchange for evacuating thousands of medical cases from Douma city to receive treatment.

Meanwhile, the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen continued their advancement in Ein Tarma town, where they managed to advance and control most of the town of Ein Tarma, which has been under the control of Al-Rahman Corps, which has withdrew to its stronghold in Zamlka city and towards Arbin city.

the SOHR monitored ongoing calm prevailing the Eastern Ghouta since 10 am Friday morning the 23rd of March 2018, and this calm coincided with preparations by Al-Rahman Corps and families of militants and civilians to implement an agreement reached with Russian general about the displacement of these people from the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus to the Syrian north.
