Clashes in al-Mayadin Desert in the countryside of Deir Ezzor as a result of an attack by ISIS

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Al-Mayadin Desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor is witnessing violent clashes that have been taking place since hours ago, between the regime Forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the Desert, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, and the clash were accompanied by violent explosion caused by detonating a booby trapped vehicle by ISIS during an attack on members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the area located west of Euphrates River, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the organization took advantage of a dust storm that took place in the area to carry out this attack against the regime forces; in order to inflict the largest possible number of casualties.
