Clashes between Jaysh al-Islam and the regime forces in the vicinity of Douma break city’s calm

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: clashes took place in areas in the vicinity of Douma city from Harasta side, between fighters of Jaysh al-Islam against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, coincided with the fall of shells launched by the regime forces on areas in Douma city, but no information about casualties yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today, Sunday, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today morning, Sunday the 25th of March 2018, continued exit of citizens from Douma city controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam, in the northern sector of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where hundreds of citizens have come out since morning and until now, through Al-Wafideen Camp to the regime’s controlled areas, in conjunction with the entry of new buses to the outskirts of Arbin city, to take the second batch of the fighters of Al-Rahman Corps and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and their families as well as other citizens of who reject the agreement about Zamalka – Jobar – Arbin, to the Syrian North.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from a number of reliable sources, that at the same time, the negotiations are continuing between Jaysh Al-Islam with the Russian side, in an attempt to reach a final agreement about the future of Douma city, and the reliable sources confirmed that the negotiations which have reached advanced stages, included clauses that provide for the departure of those reject the agreement of fighters and citizens from Douma city to the Eastern Qalamoun, and the entry of the Russian military police to Douma city and establish headquarters and posts in it, and the stay of those who agree to the agreement inside the city, on condition that the official departments affiliated to the regime return to work in Douma city.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that anticipation is continuing for implementing the largest deal between Jaysh Al-Islam and the regime, through releasing thousands of abductees and captives by Jaysh Al-Islam which hold them in Al-Tuba Prison and its other detention centers, in return for evacuating thousands of injuries and medical cases by the regime and transfer them to receive treatment within an agreement with a Russian guarantee, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it has increased to about 132 thousand people of who left through crossings to the regime’s controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta and of who stayed in the areas which the regime forces controlled since Thursday the 15th of March 2018, and in the details documented by the SOHR; the number of people left through crossings towards the regime’s controlled areas reached about 95 thousand citizens, while 37 thousand citizens at least stayed in the towns of Kafr Batna, Ein Tarma and Saqba which the regime forces controlled.
