The Kurdish Internal Security arrests the prominent Kurdish politician, Faisal Yousef, and the Syrian Observatory demands Asayish to release him immediately

Al-Hasakah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Kurdish Internal Security Forces (Asayish), arrested few hours ago, Faisal Yousef the Kurdish politician, who is the general coordinator of the Kurdish Reform Movement, and a member of the Presidential Committee of the Kurdish National Council, where he was arrested from his house in Al-Qamishli city by a patrol that took him to one of the centers of Asayish in the area, amid resentment by the members of the party and its supporters due to arresting the General coordinator of the Movement, after previous arrests against leaders and other members in Kurdish parties active in the area by the Kurdish Internal Security Forces.

We in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights call on Asayish Forces and those who are in charge of the democratic self-management of Al-Jazira Province, to do their utmost efforts to release the prominent politician Faisal Yousef immediately, and to release all the detained members of the parties held in the detention centers of Asayish, and we also call for the release of all those arrested as a result of intellectual conflict against them, and we call on the Kurdish forces to stop to carry out arrests against those who oppose their plans, vision or ideas.
