The convoy of the displaced people of Douma approaches to reach its destination in the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” forces… after Turkish postponement of the entry of the two previous convoys

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the third convoy of the displaced people approached to arrive in Abu Al-Zandayn crossing between the regime forces’ controlled areas and the areas of presence of the Turkish-backed factions of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, in the north-eastern sector of Aleppo province, where the convoy left Douma during the last night, under the cover of darkness, in order not to be targeted, where sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the transfer of the displaced people is taking place under the cover of darkness and away from the media monitoring by the regime’s media and that loyal to the regime, for fear of an escalation towards the displaced people and of being targeted by the families of the missing abductees, whose destiny has been ignored by the regime during the release of the abductees and captives arrested by Jaysh Al-Islam.

And the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that it obtained information about that there was shootout in Douma city, in conjunction with the preparations of buses to depart from the city towards the Syrian north, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, tens of supports of the regime entered in the accompany of “reconciliation” delegation into Douma city and raised the internationally recognized Syrian flag and shouted slogans supporting the regime. They were accompanied by Russian journalists and Russian forces with their vehicles, provoking Jaysh Al-Islam fighters, who were being prepared to depart Douma, which led the fighters to open fire of their guns at the group, leaving several persons injured. Russian journalists are expected to be among the injured. The delegation left Douma immediately heading towards the regime areas of presence in the camp of Al-Wafddien.

And the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that after more than 8 hours of stopping the convoy at the crossing between the aforementioned areas and the regime controlled areas. The SOHR learned that the “Shield of Euphrates” Operation forces allowed the entry of the convoy after they were ordered by the Turkish authorities following stopping the entry by a similar orders, since it has arrived on Wednesday the 11th of April 2018, and the SOHR published hours ago that the Turkish authorities are still continuing to prevent the entry of the second convoy which includes tens of buses carrying thousands of fighters and citizens of who reject the agreement between the Russians and the regime on one hand, and Jaysh Al-Islam on the other, where the second convoy of the displaced people of Douma of fighters and citizens, has not been allowed to enter the controlled areas of the Turkish-backed factions of the “Euphrates Shield” in the Syrian North until now, where the Turkish authorities are continuing to prevent the second convoy to enter, as the convoy is still stuck between the contact point at the last checkpoint of the regime forces and the first checkpoint of the factions of the “Euphrates Shield” in Al-Bab area in the north-east of Aleppo, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that with the exit of 2 batch from Douma in the past two days, the number of the displaced people within the both convoys, reached about 7500 including 2458 fighters at least of Jaysh Al-Islam, and the both convoys also included about 4750 children and citizen women of the fighter’s families and other citizens of who reject the agreement between Jaysh Al-Islam with the Russian and the regime, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published that it monitored tension prevailing the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, in conjunction with the arrival of the second convoy of the displaced people of Douma, in the crossing between the regime forces controlled areas and the controlled areas of the Turkish-backed forces of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; tension is prevailing the controlled areas of the Turkish forces and their allied factions in Al-Bab area, as a result of preventing the second convoy by the Turkish authorities to enter their controlled areas in the Syrian North, where they are still refusing to let it enter their controlled areas in the Syrian territory, after they confiscated all of the individual weapons that the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam have during their crossing to the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” forces, aboard the first convoy, and local sources confirmed to the SOHR that the locals called on the Turkish authorities to let displaced people enter, while preparations for demonstrations and sit-ins are being carried out, to pressure the Turkish authorities and the factions of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, to allow the convoy of Douma to enter the controlled areas of the Turkish forces and their allied factions in the Syrian North, while sources confirmed that a delegation of the residents has talked to the Turkish forces about the possibility of allowing the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam to be transferred to Afrin, but the Turkish forces refused this option, and expressed their desire not to let the displaced people of Douma enter all of their controlled areas in the Syrian North.
