As a part of the violent clashes in Yarmouk Basin… Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed advances at the expense of the factions and becomes at a contact front with the regime forces in the west of Daraa

Violent clashes have been taking place since after the midnight of Wednesday – Thursday, between Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, as a part of an attack carried out by the former on the positions of the latter, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the violent clashes were concentrated in the areas of Sheikh Saad, Ashtara, Jilin, Saham al-Golan, Babilla, Al-Qusayr and other places in the area, where Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed managed in its attack to advance and take the control of Sheikh Saad village located near Al-Sheikh Meskeen town in the west of Daraa, thus, it becomes at a direct front with the regime forces in the area, while Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions are carrying out a counter attack to regain the control of Sheikh Saad, in conjunction with violent exchange of shelling, accompanied by the sound of a violent explosion heard this morning caused by detonating a booby trapped vehicle in Sheikh Saad town, and the ongoing violent clashes as well as the violent shelling and the detonation, left human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where more than 6 fighters of the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham were killed until now, in addition to the death of several members of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases, amid information about other casualties.

It is noteworthy that Jaysh Khaled Ibn al-Waleed, which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, controls an area of about 250 square kilometers, which is about 0.13 percent of the area of the Syrian territory and Jaysh Khaled Ibn al-Waleed exist in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, which is adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of August 2017, that 28 persons at least were killed by the strikes carried out by warplanes whose identity is not unknown whether they are Israeli or related to the International Coalition, as 16 members at least of the army which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, were killed, including 7 military and security commanders, including the leader of Jaysh Khaled Ibn al-Waleed, while 12 prisoners at least were killed in the court building, most of them are relatives of Abu Ali al-Bridi AKA “al-Khal” (the Uncle), who is the founder of Shuhada’a al-Yarmouk Brigade which turned to Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Later, where the majority of the prisoners were arrested on charges of “storing weapons after the killing of al-Bridi in an explosion that targeted him with other leaders and members of the brigade in mid-November 2015”, and the strikes also resulted in the fall of injuries at that time, where Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid assigned a new leader, after the death of the third leader in the airstrikes during about 10 weeks, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published at the end of June 2017 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that a warplane (which is still unknown whether it belongs to an Arab country or the International Coalition) targeted today a meeting of the first class leadership of Khalid Ibn al-Walid, of which Shuhada’a al-Yarmouk Brigade is its mainstay, in addition to the Islamic Muthanna movement, in Jellin town in the western countryside of Daraa city, where reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the commander-in-chief of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid was killed with 3 sharia men and another prominent military commander and another commander, plus 4 members at least, the targeting also injured several others including commanders and Sharia men, which may raise in the death toll. in the same context, SOHR received confirmed information that Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid has appointed a new leader, it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 7th of June 2017 that airstrikes were carried out by unidentified warplanes (it is not known whether they belong to the International Coalition or not) on Jomla area adjacent to the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and on other places at Yarmouk valley in the western countryside of Daraa, killing and injuring tens of commanders and members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, these warplanes targeted shortly before the midnight of Tuesday sites of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid in Jomla area and areas close to it in the Yarmouk valley, which injured and killed tens of members, at least 12 of them were confirmed of the commanders and members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid which swore allegiance to the organization.
