Aerial, artillery and rocket shelling continue south of Damascus killing 6 people in Yarmouk Camp in constant pressure to carry out the agreement

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: more explosions shook the capital Damascus, caused by the continued targeting by the regime forces for areas south of the city, in conjunction with a renewed evening aerial bombardment on areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored bombing by warplanes on areas in Yarmouk Camp and other areas in al-Hajar al-Aswad neighbourhood, in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces using artillery and rocket shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground; on areas in the neighborhoods of Yarmouk Camp, al-Kadam, al-Tadamon, and al-Hajar al-Aswad, where the shelling during the daytime and evening have caused more casualties, raising to 6, the number of people who were killed south of Damascus since Thursday –including an ambulance driver– also others were injured, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and due to the presence of missing people under the rubble caused by the bombing, which damaged the infrastructure and property of citizens and also put a hospital out of work as a result of the damage it had, while shells fell on regime forces’ controlled areas which injured several people, also the clashes continued at a varying pace of violence between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, in conjunction with clashes between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, amid intense exchange of targeting in the clash areas, and information about casualties among all parties.

The Syrian Observatory published in the past few hours that  ISIS re-approval on the agreement in the south of the capital Damascus, did not succeed to stop the military operations, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces resumed to intensify their shelling on Yarmouk Camp, al-Hajar al-Aswad, al-Tadamon and Al-Kadam, in the southern part of Damascus, along with violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization against, in places in the outskirts and vicinities of the areas mentioned above, amid attempts by the regime forces to pressure the organization even more, and prevent it to obstruct the agreement again, while the clashes between the both parties are coincided with bombardment by warplanes on areas in Yarmouk Camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad neighborhood, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, and the bombardment resulted in the death of a citizen as a result of shrapnel from the shells that targeted the south of Damascus, while the bombardment caused destruction and damage to the infrastructure and medical centers, amid information about that a hospital in the area got out of service.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned that the negotiations are still underway between representatives of the organization and representatives of the regime, to agree on the dates of implementing the agreement, amid regime’s refusal to ceasefire until the organization shows “full seriousness about complying with the agreement”, the SOHR also monitored clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the remaining members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in areas in the outskirts of Yarmouk Camp, and information about human losses in the ranks of the both parties and in the ranks of the organization.
