The regime forces and warplanes continue shelling south of Damascus and the death of a family raises to at least 9, the death toll in Yarmouk Camp since the start of escalation

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: explosions were heard in the vicinity of the southern section of the capital and other areas in its center, caused by the fall of shells on places in the areas of Zahra and the Naher Ayyash controlled by the regime forces, which caused more material damage but no information about casualties, while aerial, artillery and missile shelling continue on areas in the southern part of the capital, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored helicopters bombing areas in Yarmouk Camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad and their outskirts, in conjunction with raids by warplanes on the same areas, this aerial bombardment was accompanied by artillery shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them by artillery shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground on areas in al-Tadamon, al-Kadam, Yarmouk and al-Hajar al-Aswad, amid clashes between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in areas in the vicinity of Yarmouk Camp, al-Hajar al-Aswad and the outskirts of al-Tadamon, while the clashes continued at the northern outskirts of Yarmouk camp, between the regime forces against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham amid targeting in the clash areas, and the clashes have caused the death of more fighters and members of the three parties.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a family in Yarmouk Camp, they are: a man, his wife and their child, as a result of the aerial and missile bombardment on the southern neighborhoods of the capital Damascus; by the regime forces and its warplanes and helicopters, raising to 9 at least including a man, his wife and their child as well as an ambulance driver, the number of people who were killed during about 48 hours of artillery shelling south of the capital Damascus, also the shelling caused extensive damage to citizens’ property and caused a hospital to get out of work and also damaged the infrastructure.

The Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, in several areas in the vicinity and outskirts of ISIS-controlled areas south of the capital Damascus, in a continued attempt by the regime forces to advance more in the area, and put pressure on the organization and forcing it to carry out the agreement, where the regime forces were able to advance and the control residential blocks, buildings and sites controlled by the organization and other areas northeast of Yarmouk Camp at the outskirts of al-Tadamon, also the clashes continue between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in areas at the northern outskirts of Yarmouk Camp.

And the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the shelling during Thursday and Friday have caused more casualties, raising to 6, the number of people who were killed south of Damascus since Thursday –including an ambulance driver– also others were injured, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and due to the presence of missing people under the rubble caused by the bombing, which damaged the infrastructure and property of citizens and also put a hospital out of work as a result of the damage it had, while shells fell on regime forces’ controlled areas which injured several people, also the clashes continued at a varying pace of violence between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, in conjunction with clashes between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, amid intense exchange of targeting in the clash areas, and information about casualties among all parties.
