The regime forces renew targeting on areas in northern Homs after impeding a meeting supposed to be held today noon

Homs province – the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: areas in Al-Saan Al-Aswad town in the northern countryside of Homs were targeted by artillery shells of the regime forces, causing material damage, and no information about casualties, while the regime forces opened heavy fire at areas in Al-Tiba Al-Gharbiya town located in Al-Houla area in the same countryside, which caused material damage to the properties of citizens, while a man died affected by injuries he had in earlier shelling by the regime forces on areas in Al-Ghanto town. This targeting came following shelling on areas northern Homs.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that areas in Al-Kann farms in the east of Al-Rastan city, in the northern countryside of Homs, were subjected to artillery shelling by the regime forces, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, also the regime forces shelled areas in Deir Ful and Al-Za’afaraneh towns, which resulted in the fall of wounded, the regime forces also targeted areas in Al-Rastan city by a number of artillery and rocket shells, while several intersected sources confirmed to that the meeting which was expected to be held today afternoon, Sunday the 22ndof April 2018, was cancelled, while the skies of the northern countryside of Homs witnessed before this shelling, overflights of regime’s helicopters dropping leaflets on the area, report that: “when you approach the checkpoints of the Syrian Arab Army, make sure that you do not have any weapons, you have to carry personal documents and your necessary needs, if you are subjected to attacks by terrorists, you have to resort to shelters and lie on the ground stay away from the places where terrorists are located so that they do not use you as human armors, when you approach the army’s checkpoints, take the open roads and lift this card in your hands or a white cloth”, and (( a safe crossing card allows those who hold this card to cross the Syrian Arab Army’s checkpoints safely, the Syrian Arab Army will provide medical assistance and food to all those who carry this card – cooperate with the Syrian Arab Army and leave the combat operation area in order to protect your life))
