A new round of violent fighting in the east of the Euphrates River between the SDF against ISIS and preparations are underway for a military operation in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the clashes renewed on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where clashes took place during the last night between the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the outskirts and the vicinity of Hajin town, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and these clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, and these clashes are coincided with information obtained by the SOHR about preparations by the SDF and the International Coalition, to start a military operation in the southern sector of Al-Hasakah countryside, in an attempt by the SDF to take the control of the enclave that is located in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah adjacent the organization’s controlled areas in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the operation is expected to be carried out in the next few days.
And the Syrian Observatory monitored bombardment by warplanes whose identity is not known whether they belong to the International Coalition, on Hajin area, in the east of the Euphrates River, which killed 4 members at least of the organization, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published, that 28 members of the “Islamic State” organization –including 7 commanders– of the organization were killed as a result of airstrikes by warplanes believed to belong to the International Coalition, where the warplanes targeted Hajin town located at the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on Tuesday, the 17th of April 2018, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the airstrikes on Tuesday night targeted a meeting of commanders of the so-called “Euphrates State” in a house the organization had seized in Hajin town, which killed this number of ISIS members.
