The regime forces continue their military operations south of Damascus using more missile shelling and raids

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for human rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces targeting areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in the southern sector of the capital, Damascus, where they targeted using rocket shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground; areas in the neighborhoods of Yarmouk Camp, al-Hajar al-Aswad and al-Kadam, preceded by aerial shelling on areas in the above-mentioned neighborhoods, in conjunction with clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in the clash areas between both parties, amid exchange of targeting in the contact lines between them, while the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in areas in the vicinity of the enclave under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham at the northern outskirts of Yarmouk Camp, amid shelling exchange in the clash areas between them, which caused the death of more members of the regime forces on both fronts.

The Syrian Observatory published hours ago that with the continuation of military operations in the southern part of the capital Damascus, in its 9th consecutive day, amid ongoing shelling by missiles, artillery shells and explosive barrels, and all during the 9 days, the air and ground strikes which exceeded hundreds, caused great material damage to the property of the citizens and to the infrastructure and the health and service centers, to increase the destruction of the south of Damascus, and the renewed shelling resulted every time in doubling the death toll, which has been documented until now in Yarmouk Camp, Al-Kadam, Al-Hajar al-Aswad and Al-Tadamon, where it has increased to 36 at least including 8 children and 6 women, the number of casualties who were killed in the shelling by the regime forces by artillery and rocket shells missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and the bombardment by warplanes and helicopters by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of tens of injuries and missing people, where a number of injuries have seriously wounded and others are in critical situations, while the fate of many of the missing people is still unknown, weather they have died or are still alive, where the citizens and rescuers try when the pace of shelling decreases, to extract stuck people or bodies from the rubble of destruction caused by the shelling on Yarmouk Camp and the rest controlled areas of the organization.

The SOHR also documented the increased death toll of who were killed in the regime’s controlled areas, where it has increased to 12 persons including 3 children and a woman, the number of people who were killed as a result of the fall of shells on areas in Al-Zahira, Nahr Eshe and other areas in the vicinity of the capital Damascus.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that  it has increased to 74 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who were killed in 8 days of clashes, including a number of officers, and including 5 members were executed, while it has increased to 59, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation, and the SOHR published yesterday that the clashes in the area of the enclave controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, resulted in the fall of more human losses, where it has increased to at least 22, the number of the casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, while t has increased to 19, the number of members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham who were killed in these clashes, the SOHR also documented the death of 10 fighters who were killed in as a result of bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on an area in the outskirts of the southern Rif Dimashq at the contact lines with the south of the capital Damascus, including commanders in Jaysh al-Islam which operates in the area, also the shelling injured several people including commanders in Jaysh al-Islam, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 19 persons at least at least who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, in Yarmouk Camp and the south of the capital Damascus, including a man, his wife and their child, 3 other citizen women, an old man and an ambulance driver, and the SOHR also documented the death of 10 persons at least including 3 children as a result of the fall of shells on areas in Al-Zahira, Nahr Eshe and other areas in the vicinity of the capital Damascus.
