In new escalation the warplanes and helicopters target villages and towns of northern Homs by about 30 barrels and airstrikes
Homs province – the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the SOHR monitored the ongoing aerial shelling on the northern countryside of Homs after Saturday – Sunday midnight until now, where the warplanes carried out about 27 airstrikes on areas in Al-Makrmaia, Deir Al-Fol, Al-Zaafrana, Ezz Al-Din, Al-Humayrat, and places near Homs – Salmiya road, in conjunction with artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces on areas in the northern countryside of Homs. The regime’s helicopters also dropped barrel bombs on areas in Al-Zaafrana town in the same countryside, killing a man guard working in Al-Zaafrana hospital. The shelling also left several people injured, and the SOHR monitored that several warplanes flying consecutively targeting every once and while areas in the countryside of Homs.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that areas in the northern countryside of Homs were targeted by renewed shelling of the regime forces which targeted by several artillery shells on areas in Oyoun Hussein village in conjunction with opening heavy fire on areas in the village, causing material damage, and no information about causalities in conjunction with an exchange of targeting in areas in the vicinity of the villages between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against the rebel and Islamic factions.
