The regime forces withdraw from 3 villages opposite to Deir Ezzor city after a counterattack by SDF and lose 9 members at least

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from intersected sources that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to achieve an advancement and regained control of 3 out of 4 villages they lost it in an attack by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them on Sunday morning, the 29th of April 2018, where violent clashes took place between both parties on the eastern banks of Euphrates River opposite to Deir Ezzor city, where the regime forces were able to advance in 4 villages: al-Ji’aa, al-Jninah, al-Hsan and Shaqra, before the Syria Democratic Forces carry out a counterattack, during which the regime forces were forced to withdraw from 3 villages, while the operations continue in an attempt by SDF to regain control of all what they lost.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 9 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in addition to the injury of others, the Syrian Observatory also documented the death of at least 6 fighters including 2 commanders of the Syria Democratic Forces, and more than 22 others were injured, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

The Syrian Observatory published in the last few hours that the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite to Deir Ezzor city witnessed heavy fire shooting and explosions on the contact lines between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against the SDF in the area, and in the details obtained by the SOHR, Kurdish leading sources confirmed to the SOHR that violent fighting is taking place between both parties in the vicinity of Al-Janina villages and on the contact lines between the organization and the SDF opposite to Deir Ezzor city east of the Euphrates River, while Arab sources in the area controlled by the SDF confirmed that the withdrawal of the SDF from villages in the area in the interest of the regime forces and their allied militiamen and that they restored by the SDF after the people of the area operating under the SDF confronted the advancement of the regime east of the Euphrates opposite to Deir Ezzor city.

the SOHR published on the 8th and 9th of February 2018 that 230 members were killed in the international coalition shelling and bombing east of the Euphrates River including 80 members of the Russian security companies who used to exist in the area with the advancement with the allied militiaman of the regime to the field of oil and gas located in the eastern banks of the Euphrates River including a son of Nawaf Al-Bashir who leads Al-Baqer battalion.
