After successive meetings with the Turks about Afrin, a mine kills one of the leaders of the “Free Police” displaced from the Ghouta with his wife in the countryside of Afrin city

Aleppo province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that one of the former commanders of the Free Police within areas of control of al-Rahman Corps known as Abu Khaled Zaghlul, he and his wife were killed in a mine explosion in al-Basutah area in the countryside of Afrin in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, the sources confirmed that the mine targeted them during their movement in Afrin area, also the sources told the Syrian Observatory that al-Zaghlul was in the past few days in the meetings with the Turkish forces about the developments of the internal situation in Afrin area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the past week that meetings have been taking place since about 10 days until now; between the Turkish authorities and leadership of Rahman Corps, about new arrangements being prepared and agreed on in Afrin area, the sources confirmed to the Observatory that the meetings that took place between the military, security and Sharia leadership of Rahman Corps and some judges; are about Rahman Corps’ preparing to be given the command of the police of Afrin area, in addition to opening Sharia and religious centers and institutes, and to be run by the former judges and Sharia men of Rahman Corps, amid calls for the displaced people of the Eastern Ghouta to join the new police which will receive Afrin area.
