The Regime Forces Advance in Buildings at The Outskirts of Yarmouk Camp Amid Continuous Aerial and Missile Shelling

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Warplanes renewed the targeting for the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas in the southern section of the capital Damascus, in conjunction with rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces, as well as missiles believed to be ground-to-ground on areas in Yarmouk Camp, al-Tadamon and al-Hajar al-Aswad, and the intense shelling is accompanied by continuous violent clashes between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas at the outskirts of Yarmouk Camp, and in neighborhoods of al-Tadamon and al-Hajar al-Aswad, amid advancement by the regime forces and controlling buildings and schools at the western outskirts of Yarmouk camp, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, where the regime forces are trying to tighten the grip on the organization and confine it to the narrowest possible place, to force it to go back to the previous agreement reached between the organization and the regime south of Damascus, before clashes erupt on April 19th 2018.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented during these attrition battle the killing of 86  members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and 3 of them were captured and executed, and 57 members at least of the “Islamic State” organization, raising to 203 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, including 25 officers and 9 of them were executed, while it has increased to 159, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation.
