Explosions, shooting and explosive devices target Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and other fighters in several areas in Idlib province as a part of the ongoing security chaos
Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a violent explosion was heard in Al-Dana town, which is located in the northern sector of Idlib countryside, caused by a detonation believed to be carried out by a person by an explosive belt, which caused his death where the detonation resulted in the death and injury of several members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in the headquarters that has been targeted, while a member of the Military Council was killed in Khan Shyakhun city, after being hit by a gunshot by mistake, while 2 persons were killed and others were injured, due to a landmine explosion in Maar Shamarin area in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, while unidentified gunmen tried to assassinate a person in the area between the towns of Jarjnaz and Tell Mannas in the eastern sector of Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside, in the southern sector of Idlib province.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published few hours ago, that the bloody clashes have barely stopped between Nour al-Din al-Zenki movement and the Islamic movements of Ahrar al-Sham; against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib and Aleppo provinces north of Syria, following an agreement reached between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, Nour Al-Din al-Zenki movement, and Ahrar al-Sham movement, until the unidentified operations began to appear in the countryside of Idlib, and stretch to the factions’ controlled areas in Aleppo and the northern countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on 26th of April 2018; the beginning of assassinations by unidentified gunmen, and since the start of their operations –which were carried out by IEDs, gunfire, kidnapping and murder– they have expanded their targeting deliberately, so that they can target several factions at once, along with civilians and members of local committees and others, where the operations of murder and assassination have targeted the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and the Uzbek, Caucasian and Asian fighters working in the area, where tens of Syrian and non-Syrian fighters and civilians have been killed in a whole month of these operations.
The Syrian Observatory has documented since the 26th of April until the 25th of May 2018; the assassination of at least 101 people, they are 24 civilians including 5 children and a woman, were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 64 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 13 fighters of Uzbek, Asian, and Caucasian nationalities were assassinated in the same ways during the past month, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization, while it worth mentioning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented significant human losses in the ranks of the rival factions within the abolition war of civilians, where at least 231 members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed during the shelling and clashes against Nour al-Din al-Zenki in the western countryside of Aleppo, and the movement of Ahrar al-Sham and Soqur al-Sham in the countryside of Idlib, while it rose to 174, the number of fighters of Ahrar al-Sham Movement and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Soqur al-Sham, who were killed during the shelling and clashes in the area, since the 20th of February until today, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and due to information about other casualties the Syrian Observatory wasn’t able to documented so far, also the Syrian Observatory has documented the death of 26 civilians, including 9 children and 5 women since the outbreak of clashes in the 20th of February 2018, as a result of the random shelling and shooting in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.
