Assassinations escalate in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo during the past 48 hours, at least 24 people are killed and half of them of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an escalate in assassinations by unknown assailants and IEDs during the past 48 hours, in Idlib province and the countryside of Hama and Aleppo, where the Syrian Observatory documented since yesterday until now several assassination attempts, after which 24 people at least were killed of fighters of the factions that operate in those areas, in addition to members of the civil defense, where 4 members of the civil defense were killed by an unidentified gunmen attack on their headquarters in Tal Hediyeh village in the southern countryside of Aleppo Dawn of today, Saturday, and 4 members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed by the gunshot of unidentified people on the road between Idlib and Ma’arrat Mesrin, and 3 members of the same faction were killed when a person detonated himself with an explosive belt at a headquarters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in al-Dana town north of Idlib, and a member of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was killed in an IED explosion in their car on the road of Idlib – Darkoush west of Idlib, and 3 of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed by the gunshot of unknown gunmen on the road of Idlib – Hafsarjeh, and a sharia man of “Salqeen courthouse” of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was killed by unknown gunmen’s bullets also on the road of Salqeen north of Idlib, and 6 fighters of al-Sham Corps were killed by unidentified gunmen at a point of the Corps in al-Zakat village north of Hama, and 2 members of Ahrar al-Sham movement were killed in an attack by gunmen believed to be a sleeper cell of the “Islamic State” organization on the movement’s headquarters near the Ariha city’s bridge.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Friday that the bloody clashes have barely stopped between Nour al-Din al-Zenki movement and the Islamic movements of Ahrar al-Sham; against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib and Aleppo provinces north of Syria, following an agreement reached between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, Nour Al-Din al-Zenki movement, and Ahrar al-Sham movement, until the unidentified operations began to appear in the countryside of Idlib, and stretch to the factions’ controlled areas in Aleppo and the northern countryside of Hama.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on 26th of April 2018; the beginning of assassinations by unidentified gunmen, and since the start of their operations –which were carried out by IEDs, gunfire, kidnapping and murder– they have expanded their targeting deliberately, so that they can target several factions at once, along with civilians and members of local committees and others, where the operations of murder and assassination have targeted the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and the Uzbek, Caucasian and Asian fighters working in the area,  where tens of Syrian and non-Syrian fighters and civilians have been killed in a whole month of these operations.

The Syrian Observatory has documented since the 26th of April until the 25th of May 2018; the assassination of at least 101 people, they are 24 civilians including 5 children and a woman, were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 64 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 13 fighters of Uzbek, Asian, and Caucasian nationalities were assassinated in the same ways during the past month, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization.

It worth mentioning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented significant human losses in the ranks of the rival factions within the abolition war of civilians, where at least 231 members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed during the shelling and clashes against Nour al-Din al-Zenki in the western countryside of Aleppo, and the movement of Ahrar al-Sham and Soqur al-Sham in the countryside of Idlib, while it rose to 174, the number of fighters of Ahrar al-Sham Movement and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Soqur al-Sham, who were killed during the shelling and clashes in the area, since the 20th of February until today, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and due to information about other casualties the Syrian Observatory wasn’t able to documented so far, also the Syrian Observatory has documented the death of 26 civilians, including 9 children and 5 women since the outbreak of clashes in the 20th of February 2018, as a result of the random shelling and shooting in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.
