The continuous looting south of Damascus rises resentment of the people who want to return to their homes after killing a boy tried to protect his house from regime’s members

The discontent increases among the people of Yarmouk Camp, al-Hajar al-Aswad, al-Kadam and al-Tadamon, due to the continuous looting of their homes and possessions, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the rise of resentment among displaced people of the areas that used to be controlled by the “Islamic State” organization south of the capital Damascus, because of regime’s deliberate continuous looting of property and contents of houses, large part of which have been damaged and destroyed by the rocket and aerial shelling by the regime forces, warplanes and helicopters using thousands of shells and missiles on the area, where the looting takes place in front of their owners, by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who transport them to areas outside of Yarmouk Camp, al-Kadam, al-Tadamon and al-Hajar al-Aswad south of Damascus.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information from local residents, who confirmed that some people were able to enter the areas used to be controlled by the “Islamic State” organization before the control of the regime forces and their allies of them, while others were prevented from entering, where tens of people are still waiting to be allowed to enter the area, while a boy from Yarmouk Camp was killed by gunfire of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, residents from the area said that the boy wanted to protect his home from being looted by regime’s loyal gunmen in the area, but members of the gunmen loyal to the regime quickly shot and killed him, which increased people’s resentment.

The Syrian Observatory published in the past days that vehicles of the regime forces and their allies transferring the contents of the houses and property of the citizens of vehicles, devices, furniture, and other contents to destinations out of the neighborhoods used to be controlled by the organization, and the Syrian Observatory published on Monday that, a widespread resentment prevails the residents of Yarmouk Camp, al-Tadamon, al-Kadam and al-Hajar al-Aswad, who were displaced from their homes as a result of heavy aerial and ground bombardment and military operations, because members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them started stealing and looting houses, loading them aboard vehicles and transporting them to destinations outside the southern neighborhoods of the capital, where intersected sources confirmed that tens of cars and bicycles have been monitored carrying members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them; departing loaded with contents of houses from the neighborhoods that used to be controlled by the “Islamic State” organization before its withdrawal from southern Damascus today, Monday, the 21st of May 2018, amid demands to stop the “looting” process which has been repeated in any area to which the regime forces enter with their allies, without moving a muscle by the regime to stop them.
