Tension prevails Salqin north of Idlib in the wake of killing an Asian commander in the city and the Ministry of Interior of the Rescue Government carries out “sharia” arrests against citizens
Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the city of Salqin in the northern sector of Idlib countryside, witnesses arrests carried out by the Ministry of Interior of the “National Rescue Government”, where 3 young men and a man were arrested and taken to one of the Ministry of Interior’ headquarters in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the 3 young men were arrested on charge of publicly breaking the fast during Ramadan, while the man was arrested on charge of “insulting ALLAH”, and these arrests are coincided with the state of tension prevailing the city, as a result of shooting an Asian commander, believed to be of Azerbaijani nationality, and sources accused Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham of shooting him on charge of leading sleeper cells for the “Islamic State” organization.
And this act comes with the escalated assassinations which started on the 26th of April 2018, where the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that it documented more assassinations, raising to 119 people at least, they are 31 civilians including 6 children and a woman, who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 75 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 13 fighters of Uzbek, Asian, and Caucasian nationalities were assassinated in the same ways during the past month, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization.
