Within its security operations at Idlib province, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham continues the raids and arrests north of Idlib

Idlib province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: unidentified gunmen attacked Sarmada court in the border town of Sarmada in the northern countryside of Idlib after midnight of yesterday, where clashes took place between the attackers against members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham before the attackers flee, but no information about casualties due to this attack, and  in the same context, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham carried out raids and arrests in the northern countryside of Idlib after midnight of yesterday, within its security operation which aims to arrest the “sleeper cells”, where several people have been arrested on charges of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization including people from the east of Syria.

The Syrian Observatory published on Wednesday morning that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham carried out raids and arrests after midnight of yesterday in Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib, these raids and arrests come within the framework of the security operation by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, which aims to arrest “sleeper cells”, and the raids were accompanied by hearing gunfire sounds, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Tuesday, that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham imposed a night curfew in Idlib city, within their security operation which aims to arrest the sleeper cells which carry out bombings and assassinations against citizens and fighters, which escalated in the past few weeks, where the SOHR published in the past 24 hours, that Idlib city, the towns of Sarmada, al-Dana, Salqin and Jesr al-Shughur city are witnessing security alert by members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, accompanied by disconnecting the Internet from some of the neighborhoods of the areas, intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the above-mentioned areas are undergoing operations by the security office at Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, searching for the cells responsible for the past bombings and targeting and to capture them, while the Internet service returned to Idlib city after midnight of yesterday, after being blocked by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham as part of the operations of the security office of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the city.

And this operation comes with the escalated assassinations which started on the 26th of April 2018, where the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that it documented more assassinations, raising to 120 people at least, they are 31 civilians including 6 children and a woman, who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 75 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 14 fighters of Uzbek, Asian, and Caucasian nationalities were assassinated in the same ways during the past month, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization.
