A curfew in Al-Raqqah city in the wake of targeting a gathering of citizens by unidentified persons in the center of the city which is controlled by the SDF

Al-Raqqah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: an explosion was heard in the past few hours in Al-Raqqah city, which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, caused by a grenade thrown by unidentified persons on a gathering of citizens in the city, in the area of Seif Al-Dawla in the center of the city, followed by a curfew in the city imposed by the Internal Security Forces, amid resentment prevailing among the citizens against the conscription service processes against young men in order to accomplish the “duty of self-defense”, where tens of young men were taken from the city and its countryside in the past 72 hours.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on Thursday the 31st of May 2018, that tens of people went out in a demonstration in al-Rumaila neighborhood in Al-Raqqah city, where the demonstrations demanded the departure of the Syria Democratic Forces from Al-Raqqah city, where this demonstration comes in the wake of the state of tension witnessed in the city in the past dew days, where a demonstration went out last Tuesday, and the Syrian Observatory published at that time, that it monitored the return of the state of tension in Al-Raqqah city, which witnessed today evening, Tuesday the 29th of May 2018, demonstrations included tens of citizens of Al-Raqqah city, where they called for “the departure of the Syria Democratic Forces from the city and handing over the administration to its inhabitants”, and the demonstrations included the areas of al-Mashlab and al-Rumaila in the eastern and north-eastern outskirts of Al-Raqqah city, and the tension escalated after the arrival of patrols of the Internal Security Forces and the Syria Democratic Forces in the area of the demonstration, and information about arresting demonstrators in the city.

And the Syrian Observatory monitored on the 27th of May 2018, that tension between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition on one hand, and Liwaa Thowwar Al-Raqqah on the other, since today evening, Sunday the 27th of May 2018, amid mobilizations by each party in the area, accompanied by the sound of sporadic gunfire, amid a demonstration which went out in al-Rumaila neighborhood in the city, in an attempt to prevent the SDF from arresting a commander in Liwaa Thowwar Al-Raqqah.
