Within its continuous activity, ISIS keep on attacking the regime, Iranians, and their allies in the Syrian Desert

The clashes continue at a varying rate of violence between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in the Syrian Desert, within the renewed attempts of the organization’s members to expand the enclave they control in the area in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, where the “Islamic State” organization seeks through its continuous attacks to expand its control in the northern desert of Palmyra, along with exhausting the regime, distract it and inflicting the greatest number of casualties, injuries and losses of equipment, and the continuous clashes are accompanied with exchange of targeting by shells and heavy machineguns, amid confirmed information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Tuesday, that reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces are continuing with their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, to bring military reinforcements to the Syrian Desert, where the regime forces brought again tens of military vehicles carrying equipment, weapons and ammunition as well as hundreds of members of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the bringing of these reinforcements comes in an attempt by the regime forces to fortify their positions and strengthen their presence in the Syrian Desert, for fear of a mass offensive that may be carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against them in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to expand its control over the enclaves that are under its control, and to revive its areas of control on the Syrian territory, in the wake of the attacks which are carried out either by the regime forces and their allies, or by the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition through its American, Italian, French and European forces, where the organization which is located in the triangle of Al-Sukhnah – Jabal Abu Rajeem – Al-Tibah in the west of Palmyra – Al-Sukhnah – Deir Ezzor Road, is seeking to expand its control even more amid successive preparations carried out by the organization to expand the scope of its attacks.

These fortifications by the regime forces and their allies to their positions in Homs Desert and other positions in the desert related to it, came after the first attack that was carried out by the organization hours after its departure from the south of Damascus and arrival in the Syrian Desert, on the 22nd of May 2018, where tens of members of the regime forces and armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities were killed and injured at that time, where the Syrian Observatory has documented since that date and until today, the death of 246 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, 2 of them were executed and 9 of them are of the Russian Forces, during clashes and confrontations accompanied by detonating members of the “Islamic State” organization for themselves using booby trapped vehicle and explosive belts in the clash sites, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 138 members of the organization in these clashes, which have been carried out out-of-a-sudden in the eastern countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor since the 22nd of May 2018, the date of ISIS exit from the south of Damascus, until today, the 12th of June 2018.

And the Syrian Observatory monitored at nigh of the 5th of June 2018, that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to restore most of positions which they had lost for members the “Islamic State” organization during its violent attack which targeted a front of about 100 km along the west banks of Euphrates River, from the west of Al-Bokamal to the east of Al-Mayadin, where the regime forces managed to attack again which forced the organization to leave its positions and withdraw to the Desert, in order to prevent the fall of large number of human losses in its ranks, and to be able to re-attack in the next days, where the organization aims through these repeated attacks, to confuse the regime, and to strain it and to inflict the largest possible number of casualties in the ranks of the regime and its allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fact that the Russian warplanes have not been intensively involved in supporting the regime forces and pushing the attack of the organization on the area, and the attacks which have completed 48 hours, resulted in the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, while the SOHR published that despite the worn out of the “Islamic State” organization and its loss of tens of thousands of square kilometers, due to the military operations of the regime forces and their allies of Russians, Iranians, Lebanese Hezbollah, and the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, as well as the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, in addition to the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions, but its recovery has escalated since the 22nd of May 2018, after being supplied by members due to the deal between the Russians and the regime, and, the “Islamic State” organization in the Syrian Desert, where about 1000 fighters were transported on board of the buses that got out of south Damascus with their weapons, and they were moved to where the enclave under the control of the “Islamic State” organization east of al-Sokhna and on the administrative border of Homs with Deir Ezzor, where the organization started military operations and counterattacks against the regime forces, Iranian Forces, and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and it was able to kill tens of members and injure tens of others with varying severity, also the “Islamic State” organization since its departure on 22nd of May 2018, from the south of the capital Damascus, started attacking the regime forces and their allies intensively, where it attacked stretched areas from the northeastern desert of al-Suwaidaa to the east of Palmyra, east of Sukhnah, the 2nd Station “T2”, al-Bokamal, and the front extending from al-Boleel to the Bokamal along the Euphrates River, where ISIS carried out attacks after crossing the Euphrates River coming from the enclave remained for it in the eastern banks of Euphrates River, while it started its other attacks from areas in the Syrian Desert, from the desert of al-Bokamal, west of Euphrates, Homs desert, and al-Suwaidaa desert, where the organization still exists in an enclave on the east bank of Euphrates River, and in a mountain in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with a part remaining from an enclave adjacent to it in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah.
