The battles of the south of Al-Hasakah continue between the International Coalition and SDF against the organization and the latter exploits the poor weather conditions and carries out counter attacks to restore the areas it lost

Al-Hasakah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continued military operations within the southern sector of Al-Hasakah countryside, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the clashes are still continuing between the members of the “Islamic State” organization against the Syria Democratic Forces supported by US, Italian and French forces as well as other forces of western countries within the International Coalition, in areas in the vicinity of al-Dshishiyah and Tal al-Shayer, in an attempt by the latter to achieve further advancement in the enclave which is controlled by the organization, near the Syrian – Iraqi border, at the administration border between Deir Ezzor province and Al-Hasakah province, in an attempt to clamp down even more on the organization and completely expel it from the province and end its presence in Al-Hasakah province.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored in the past 48 hours, that the SDF managed to achieve further advancement in villages and areas in the southern sector of Al-Hasakah countryside, where the clashes are accompanied by exchange of targeting on the clash areas between the both parties, amid the flight of the International Coalition’s warplanes over the area, and their targeting from time to time to the controlled areas of the organization and its positions, while the poor weather conditions prevent the SDF and the International Coalition from achieving wide advancement, where the organization exploits this bad weather to carry out counter attacks in attempts to recover the areas it lost.

The SDF with their new advancement, have increased to more than 19, the number o villages, farms and hills which they controlled in the recent 10 days of clashes, decreasing ISIS scope of control and encircling it in narrower place, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the continued displacement of tens of families from ISIS controlled areas, as a result of the intensity of the military operation and the escalated pace of shelling on the area, while the Syrian Observatory has documented the death of at least 34 members of the organization who were killed in these clashes, including an important commander in the organization, as well as the presence of casualties in the ranks of the SDF and the injury of tens of members of the both parties, with varying severity, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the attack took place from 3 areas, in an attempt to weaken the organization and besiege it in a narrower area, where the Syrian Observatory monitored yesterday the Syria Democratic Forces were able to achieve a wide advancement in this enclave and controlled villages and areas there, clamping down more on the organization and confining it in a narrower space, while military operations continue  trying to achieve a full control of the area and end the existence of the organization in al-Hasaka province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information on the 2nd of May 2018, from a number of reliable sources with confirmed to the SOHR that; the Syria Democratic Forces process and the International Coalition will start a military operation during the coming hours against the “Islamic State” organization in the southern countryside of Hasakah, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the military forces have started their preparations to launch a large-scale military operation against the organization in its remaining enclave at the southern countryside of al-Hasakah, which is connected to the organization’s enclave in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where fighters were put on alert and the artillery and military vehicles are being prepared, in conjunction with the flight of warplanes of the International Coalition in the skies of the area, in preparation for the launch of the operation. And on the other side, the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas are also on alert by members of the “Islamic State” organization, in preparations to repel the attack through which the Syria Democratic Forces and forces of the coalition seek to end the existence the organization in al-Hasaka province and the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which leave the organization with its last enclave at the east bank of Euphrates River, which SDF and the Coalition failed to control, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 4 days ago, that the military operation of Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition Forces and warplanes, have stopped on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, following the failure of SDF and the International Coalition to advance in the last remaining enclave of ISIS at the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and after their failure to break into Hajin town for which the Organization desperately fought to repel the attack on the town and on the rest of the enclave, while reliable sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the course of military action east of Euphrates River is diverted, where preparations are underway to carry out a wide military operation in the remaining enclave of the Organization in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah; which is connected with the Organization’s enclave in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor the near the Syrian-Iraqi border, where the enclave witnessed artillery shelling in the past hours targeted Tal al-Shayer area in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, but it was not known whether the source of the artillery shelling was the Syria Democratic Forces or the Iraqi forces.
