The violations escalate in the Syrian south with clashes in the middle countryside of Quneitra and the shelling on Daraa countryside causes casualties and injuries
The violations returned to escalate and interrupt the calm of the Syrian south which has been taking place for less than 72 hours, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the eruption of clashes described as violent; between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them against fighters of rebel and Islamic factions, in the contact lines between both parties in the area between Om Batinah and MasHara towns which are under the control of the factions and Jabba town which is controlled by the regime forces mid-sector countryside of Al-Quneitra, and the clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, and information about casualties in their ranks, and the clashes in the countryside of Quneitra were accompanied by targeting by the factions for positions of the regime forces in Jabba area in the mid-sector countryside of Al-Quneitra, while areas in the Western al-Gharya town in the eastern sector of Daraa countryside and other places in al-Hara town in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, were shelled by the regime forces which killed a person and injuries others, in addition to material damage in the property of citizens.
This calm comes in conjunction with the preparations that have been taking place since about 3 weeks by the regime forces and their allies and between the factions, for an expected military operation if the local, regional and international parties fail definitively to reach an agreement about the Syrian south, which has been witnessing since July 2017 an agreement between Jordan, Russia and the United States of America about de-escalation and decrease the combat operations.
This clam in the Syrian south coincides with the failure of the international and regional parties to find a consensual formula about the future of the Syrian south, and at the same time the Iranians are still refusing to withdraw with the militia loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, also intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that no consensus had yet been reached about the Iranian withdrawal towards other Syrian areas, and no agreement has been reached on any items about the Syrian south, which has been witnessing a Russian – American – Jordanian agreement since July 2017, and this agreement has witnessed hundreds of violations by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, as well as the rebel and Islamic factions operating in the areas where the agreement takes place in al-Quneitra, al-Suwaidaa and Daraa provinces.
