The borders of Homs and Deir Ezzor witness violent clashes between the organization against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in an attack by the latter and an attempt to achieve new advancement
The regime forces backed by the Iranian forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, are continuing their operations in the eastern desert of Homs and its administrative border with Deir Ezzor countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and their allied forces of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in places in the vicinity of the area of T2 and the outskirts of the eastern desert of Homs, as a part of the regime forces’ ongoing efforts to impose their control over the area, and end the presence of the organization which exhausted the regime forces and their allies through its members’ scattered attacks, which are carried out either by attacks by machineguns or detonating booby trapped vehicles, where the attacks targeted sites and positions of the regime forces leaving tens of casualties and wounded.
The Syrian Observatory published today morning, that it monitored the arrival of more military reinforcements in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in conjunction with increased concerns among the Iranian forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah, and the loyalist gunmen and supporters; from a massive attack by the “Islamic State” Organization that may let them loses control of al-Bokamal city, which has a strategic importance as the link to opening the road of Tehran – Beirut, where the battles of opening this road were led by Qasim Soleimani, and the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that more fighters have been brought aboard tens of military vehicles along with equipment and ammunition, as part of the preparations by the Iranian Forces and the gunmen loyal to them, fortifying their positions, and strengthening their presence points to repel any possible attack in the coming days by the “Islamic State” organization, Whose areas of presence are witnessing a state of alert among its members and preparations for a violent attack in the desert of Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to achieve its goal of expanding its control, after previous series of operations that left hundreds of casualties and injuries of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and the Iranian forces.
While the SOHR published yesterday that the desert of Homs and the administrative borders with Deir Ezzor are witnessing continuous clashes and sweeping by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, for areas east of Palmyra and the southern desert of al-Bokamal and the areas between them, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces carry out sweeping operations since 48 hours ago, aiming to take full control over the area near the 2ndStation “T2” and the 3rd Station “T3”, with the eastern countryside of Homs and the administrative borders of Deir Ezzor Province, the regime forces are sweeping those areas looking for members of the organization within the Syrian Desert, and this sweep comes within the process of imposing the control to make the fears of the regime forces and the Iranians of new attacks that ISIS may carry out in the coming days to expand its control in the eastern desert of Homs, and the sweep operations in the area and the regime forces’ attempt to control the entire area; come in conjunction with violent clashes which are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity of the 2nd Station and the 3rd Station in Homs desert and its administrative borders with Deir Ezzor.
