The regime forces achieve further advancement in Al-Suwaidaa Desert at the expense of ISIS

Al-Suwaidaa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the north-eastern sector of Al-Suwaidaa countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the regime forces’ violent attack against the organization, in an attempt to end its presence in the province, and the clashes are accompanied by intensive exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, amid further advancement achieved by the regime forces in the area, and information about confirmed human losses in the ranks of the both parties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 72 hours ago, that it documented the killing of at least 8 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them including an officer, while 6 ISIS members at least were killed in addition to wounding several others, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, while the Syrian Observatory published last night that the pace of clashes escalated in the north-eastern desert of Al-Suwaidaa, and these clashes came with continuation of the clashes which re-erupted about 48 hours, after the regime forces brought more military reinforcements to the area, in order to end the presence of the organization from the province, and to impose their control again over the entire province, and information about the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties due to the clashes.

The Syrian Observatory for human rights published on the 13th of June 2018, that the northeastern desert of al-Suwaidaa in the Syrian south is witnessing the continuation of military operations by the regime forces and their allies in the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the decline in frequency of clashes between the regime Forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, where the decline in violence of the combat operations in the northeastern sector of al-Suwaidaa province; came as a result of the failure of the regime forces and their allies in regaining control of the sites and areas to which the “Islamic State” organization has advanced more than a week ago, although the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the area and controlled several villages, hills and locations, but they could not expel the organization from the province towards the Syrian desert, and these clashes between the regime forces and the Syrian and non-Syrians gunmen loyal to them are taking place near areas controlled by the Coalition, about 50 km away from the International Coalition Forces’ controlled area in al-Tanf, which is between the deserts of Rif Dimashq and Homs, where the Syrian Observatory published a few days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, against members of the “Islamic State” Organization in areas in the northeastern Desert to al-Suwaidaa province south of Syria, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces continue their offensive in the area against Organization, and controlling more places and sites they lost in the areas of Telal al-Safa and the nearby gatherings and villages, and the intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces have sent for more reinforcements of their members and the forces of their allies to the north-eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, to participate in ending the presence of the organization in the area, after the organization managed to expand its control in the area.
